Baseball: Hopatcong Falls in HWS First Round
Chiefs take 4-2 loss from undefeated Hackettstown.

Hopatcong's Hunterdown Warrant Sussex Tournament hopes ended early.
The Chiefs fell, 4-2, to undefeated Hackettstown in the HWS Tournament's first round on Saturday afternoon on the road. RBIs from D.J. Ross and Jake Winch weren't enough for Hopatcong, which fell to 6-3-1 as the Tigers improved to 9-0.
James Novembre belted a pair of doubles for Hackettstown, which received two hits and a RBI from Matt Reynolds. Justin Knight gave up just two runs while striking out three and walking one in the win. He also had two RBI.

Hopatcong fell behind, 3-0, after the third. But the Chiefs' two-run sixth pulled them within a run before the Tigers tacked on a run in the frame's bottom half to cement the final score.
