Hopatcong Preps More Unused Property For Sale
Council says the goal is to reduce inventory of small lots and get the land back on the tax rolls.
In an attempt to stop some of the revenue bleeding and beef up the borough's tax rolls, the Hopatcong Council took additional steps last week to purge itself of unused and nonconforming properties.
Councilwoman Marie Galate said the council has a goal of reducing its inventory of small properties accumulated over time.
The council introduced four ordinances calling for the sale of properties and approved three others authorizing sales.
