Sussex County's free class helps residents connect with a wide range of sources and services while helping them plan for long-term and community-based care.

Got a loved one for whom you're considering long-term care? Sussex County might just be able to help. Here are five things you need to know about an upcoming class designed to help those seeking long-term care.

  1. You Need to Know the Information You'll Get: You'll learn to connect with a wide range of services and resources, such as Global Options and Jersey Asistance for Community Caregiving programs, while planning for long-term and community-based care.
  2. You Need to Know the Class is for Seniors, Too: Seniors who want to remain in their own homes but need assistance accessing services, such as home health care, specialized equipment and transportation will also be given information.
  3. You Need to Know When it's Happening: The hour-long seminar will start at 5:30 p.m.
  4. You Need to Know Where it's Happening: At Sussex County Homestead at 129 Morris Tpk. in Newton.
  5. You Need to Know to Register: To register for the free class call the Sussex County Division of Senior Services at (973) 579-0555 ex. 1224.
