Construction Begins on New Borough Hall Sign

Electric sign to replace hand-operated sign.

The construction of a new electric sign outside borough hall, along Hopatchung Road, began Tuesday.

Jobeless said the 3-foot tall, 7-foot wide sign would be operated from inside borough hall, rendering the current hand-operated sign below the clock obsolete. He also said two 2-foot wide, 6-foot columns would bookend the sign.
