County Clerk: Parrott Wins Big

Independent challengers not even close.

Republican Jeffrey Parrott won the Sussex County Clerk's race Tuesday. And it wasn't even close.

Parrott, filling in since May when the previous clerk left for another job, earned 13,709 votes, or 63 percent.

Independents Tacia Raftopoulos-Johnson (2,946; 14 percent) and Wilma Lorraine Talmadge (2,921; 13 percent) took second and third, respectively. Paul Pfeil, also an independent, nabbed a mere 1,850 votes, or 9 percent.
