Finishing Touches for Lake Lackawanna Dr.
The road closed for a month late last year during a $667,000 project. Now it gets a few touch ups.
The $667,000 project to rehabilitate the Lake Lackawanna Drive bridge, which acts at Hopatcong's gateway to Byram and Route 206, is almost complete, Sussex County Division of Engineering Supervising Engineer Susan Delmar said in a statement.
Now just for the finishing touches.
The road, which was closed from Oct. 3 to Dec. 9, will receive new arch ring stones and a chain-link fence. The project's biggest feat was demolishing and re-establishing the bridge over Lubber's Run. The overall project ran about two weeks later than expected due to numerous weather-related delays, Delmar said.
