FOUND: Kidnapped Boys, Dad Located In Florida Hotel, Cops Say
Kristopher, Parker, and Jaxon Dohm were found Wednesday night after nearly six weeks of being gone.

The Hopatcong man who abducted his own children in early February has been found with his sons in a Florida hotel, police announced Thursday morning.
Kristopher Dohm and his sons, Parker and Jaxon, of Landing in Morris County, were found at 10:30 p.m. by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office in Florida at the Royal Palm Inn in New Port Richey, Lt. Thomas Kmetz of the Hopatcong Police Department said.
The boys’ mother, Sandra Dohm, flew down to Florida Thursday to retrieve her children, Kmetz said.

Kristopher Dohm has been arrested and placed in the Pasco County Jail.
The boys, ages 8 and 7, were staying with their father as part of a joint custody agreement between the parents. Kristopher Dohm asked his ex-wife if he could take the boys to Nevada for a few days to see an ailing relative. That story turned out to be “fraudulent,” Sussex County Prosecutor Francis Koch said.

The boys were expected to be returned home to their mother on Feb. 9. When that didn’t happen, and Sandra Dohm did not hear from them for four days, she notified police, who began a nationwide search.
The hotel where the Dohms were found was the focal point of a lengthy report in 2013 by the news station in the Tampa Bay area.
The report focused on the hotel’s notoriety for its draw of prostitutes, drug dealers, and ex-convicts, and how the crime scene there was detracting from the local police department’s efforts in other parts of town.
The report, which was published in February 2013, said police responded to 270 calls at the hotel in 2012 alone. But it was the excess criminal activity taking place at the Royal Palm Inn that may have been the reason the Dohms were found, considering how much patrol is devoted to the business.
Patch will update this story as more details become available.
