Parks will talk about his years as an
investigative reporter for The (Newark)
Star-Ledger,
and how his reporting has influenced the stories in his books.
He will also dish about his transition from full-time newspaper reporter to
full-time novelist and stay-at-home dad to two young children.

"I imagine Brad Parks is a lot
like his main character Carter Ross,” says Lynn Harris, mystery reviewer for
Examiner.com. “He takes his work very seriously, but not himself. While there
are many humorous aspects of the book, THE PLAYER offers the reader many
important issues to consider… It would make an outstanding book for book clubs
to read.”

Wall Street Journal
, Booklist, Library Journal, Kirkus Reviews, Publishers
Weekly
the Associated Press and many others.

“What makes Parks such a fantastic
storyteller is his main cast of characters, all of whom feel real,” said RT
Book Reviews about THE PLAYER.
“Parks has quietly entered the top echelon of the mystery field.”
