Almost 50 borough girls displayed why they're among the area's best on Saturday.
Talk about a special group.
Almost 50 Hopatcong Warriors cheerleaders competed before hundreds of spectators at West Milford High School on Saturday. And they showed why they're one of the best programs in the area as the Flag Green team took second place in the Mini Division and the Flag White squad also impressed.
Despite the tough competition—and an announcer who kept pronouncing Hopatcong "Hopatkin"—the borough fans also were among the most vocal in the gym as coaches Sonda Kiss, Jackie Turkowski, Jenn Kruger and Amy Endean directed the girls.
