Hopatcong Little League's Opening Day ceremonies have been canceled due to the threat of inclement weather, league President Cathy Bowen said.
The ceremony has been moved to April 30 at 10 a.m. at Senior Field.
Mayor Sylvia Petillo is scheduled to throw out the first pitch. Members of Hopatcong High School's parent-funded marching band are also expected to play the national anthem.

Bowen said at Tuesday's recreation commission meeting that about 330 borough children will participate in Little League baseball and softball. That's about 100 more than Hawks soccer, which is expected to have the second largest amount of kids. Hawks track (100) and street hockey (100) each will combine for 200 kids.
