Hopatcong Runner Shines at Indoor Meet
Courtney Macaluso, a junior, grabs silver while competing for area squad.

No track team? No problem for 's Courtney Macaluso.
The junior shined at East Stroudsburg University High School Invitational Friday. Macaluso took second in the 200-meter dash in 27.1 seconds and tied for eighth in the 55-meter dash in 7.6 seconds.
Macaluso, also a soccer and spring track athlete, represented the Polar Bears Track Club of Fredon—a squad comprised mostly of Sussex County standouts. Area teams such as Pope John, Sussex Tech, North Warren and Newton also competed in the event.
