
The girls softball team continued its winning ways Wednesday, dropping rival Hackettstown, 3-2, at home in nine innings, according to nj.com.
Powered by Julie Brennan's complete-game performance, the Chiefs improved to 7-3 while the Tigers dropped to 3-7.
Brennan tossed nine strong frames, allowing just two run and two walks on eight hits and two strikeouts. Courtney Stone recorded a single and a double for Hopatcong, which jumped ahead, 2-0, before Hackettstown tied it up in the fifth.
