Hopatcong's Rey Heads to NCAA Semifinals

Lehigh University junior heavyweight takes quarterfinal win Friday.

It's onto the semifinals for Lehigh University heavyweight Zach Rey.

The Hopatcong resident defeated Penn State's Cameron Wade after Wade couldn't finish the match due to knee pain. Rey will take on No. 5 Dominque Bradley of Missouri in Friday night's semis at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

Rey earned a first-period takedown on Wade, who immediately clutched his knee in pain. But Wade continued, choosing top to start the second period. Rey eventually escaped from Wade, who was in obvious pain, and then landed a takedown for a 5-1 lead.
