Active Adult Day Lunch Talk Mar 7th
Active Adult Day Lunch Talk Mar 7th

The Sussex County YMCA welcomes guest speaker Nicole Gong, RPH head pharmacist at the ShopRite of Franklin for the 12:15 pm lunch talk session on Active Adult Day. The March 7th talk topic will be a discussion on medication management. Nicole will be sharing valuable information that they provide to their pharmacy customers. Besides filling prescriptions, the ShopRite pharmacy offers advice and dispenses information about medication side effects, disease prevention, nutrition, tobacco cessation, and diabetes management.

People are finding out that their ShopRite pharmacist is the pro with the answers ranging from which blood pressure monitor to buy to identifying rashes. Supermarket pharmacists have learned to hone their knowledge to include food-related inquiries such as - eating broccoli with a blood thinner.

In addition to their guidance on regular Shoprite pharmacy needs, they have carried this customer relationship to those with more complex drug treatment regiments. The ShopRite Specialty Pharmacy program is a free program that is designed to provide additional support to their customers taking specialty medications for complex conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Crohn's Disease, and more. The benefits of this program are: - Prior Authorizations and benefits verification. - Copay and reimbursement assistance to lower costs whenever possible. - Convenient access to clinically trained pharmacists, nurses and patient care coordinators. 24/7 access for after-hours patient support. - Condition specific resources and side-effect management assistance. - Medication management assistance and refill reminder calls to help keep you compliant with your treatment plan. And lastly proactive physician outreach to renew expired prescriptions.
