More Medals for Hopatcong's Macaluso

The junior took gold, silver and bronze at the USATF Northeast Zone Championships in Toms River.

She ended the season in style. And with some precious medals.

Hopatcong's Courtney Macaluso scored a trio of medals at the USATF Northweast Zone Championships in Toms River on Feb. 26.

The junior grabbed a silver medal in the 55-meter dash, matching her personal-best 7.68 seconds. Then she nabbed gold in the young women's division of the 40-meter run. After trailing for a while, Macaluso charged ahead, finishing in 1:04.08 in the event. And she landed third in the 200-meter dash, crossing the finish line in 27.47—just .01 off of her career-best mark.

Top six finishers in each event qualified for the USATF Youth National Championships in Illinois on March 10.
