Rain Ruins High School Sports Schedule for 2nd Straight Day

Big baseball game vs. rival washed out.

Tom Vara was right. The Hopatcong High School athletic director guessed Monday that Tuesday's games would be canceled due to rain.

They were.

Hopatcong's baseball team won't get a chance to take on longtime rival Lenape Valley at the Homer Dome. And the boys tennis team will have to wait to face Pequannock at home.

While the boys tennis team has struggled, baseball has flourished. It's 12-4 record has been the result of key hitting from heart-of-the-order stars Rob Nadrowski, Joey LoBue, D.J. Ross, Hunter Guard and Jake Winch.
