Rain Stops Baseball Playoffs Again

Rain slammed the already-soaked Homer Dome Monday night through Tuesday morning, forcing No. 3 Hopatcong to postpone its North 1, Group 1 first-round playoff game with No. 14 Pequannock on Tuesday.

Athletic Director Tom Vara said the game has been reschedule for Wednesday.

But there could be a twist, Vara said. The teams could play at Hackettstown, instead.

Hopatcong (12-4-1) is in the midst of one of After a rough start, the Chiefs won 12 of 14 behind a stacked lineup and deep starting pitching.

The game was originally scheduled for Monday.
