As of 12:00 AM on April 17, 2020 the Sussex County Division of Health (SCDOH) was notified of 28 additional cases of COVID-19 among county residents. The total number of cases of COVID-19 in Sussex County is at 613, as follows: Andover Borough (2), Andover Township (118), Branchville Borough (3), Byram Township (29), Frankford Township (26), Franklin Borough (24), Fredon Township (10), Green Township (4), Hamburg Borough (17), Hampton Township (15), Hardyston Township (32), Hopatcong Borough (63), Lafayette Township (5), Montague Township (12), Newton Town (55), Ogdensburg Borough (10), Sandyston Township (4), Sparta Township (72), Stanhope Borough (13), Stillwater Township (2), Sussex Borough (6), Vernon Township (63), Walpack Township (0), and Wantage Township (28). Sussex County Freeholder Director Sylvia Petillo and the Sussex County Division of Health (SCDOH) are saddened to announce that they have been notified of seven additional COVID-19- related deaths in Sussex County, in a 63 year- old male from Sparta Township, a 59 year- old male from Andover Township, a 65 year- old male from Andover Township, a 61 year- old male from Andover Township, an 83 year- old female from Andover Township, a 78 year- old male from Andover Township, and a 66 year- old female from Andover Township. Please note, deaths are announced as they are reported to and verified by the SCDOH, not necessarily on the date that they occur. The SCDOH has been working with those individuals who came into contact with these patients.
