Sussex County Reports Coronavirus Related Death

Sussex County Freeholder Director Sylvia Petillo is saddened to announce the first COVID-19 case in the county resulting in the death of the patient. The Newton resident was admitted to Newton Medical Center on March 25, 2020 and passed away on March 27, 2020. The Sussex County Division of Health (SCDOH) has been working with those individuals who came into contact with the patient. Those identified as close contacts are in their home under self-quarantine and being monitored by the SCDOH staff.
