Sussex County Seeks Senior of the Year
Want to nominate someone special? Here's how.
Being Hopatcong's Senior of the Year has its perks. Just ask , the pair who shared the 2010 award. They were the envy of the buddies. They even had their name on a sign outside borough hall all year.
But it's another thing to be Sussex County's top senior.
So, do you know anyone who'd fit the bill? Someone who serves the community as a role model to their peers? Check the information from the county's Department of Human Services for more information:

The Sussex County Department of Human Services, Division of Senior Services is seeking nominations for "Sussex County Senior of the Year." Nominees must be residents of Sussex County, at least 60 years old, and role models for their peers based on service to their communities during their senior years and their advocacy for senior issues. All nominees will be recognized at Senior Day at the New Jersey State Fair, on Thursday, August 11, 2011, when the award will be presented to the winner. The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the Award Ceremony taking place at 10:30 a.m. Nominees must agree to attend the Award Ceremony.
