Tennis: Fasano's Grit Leads Hopatcong to 2nd 'W'

Hopatcong felt right at home in Wallkill Valley's court.

The Chiefs dominated the Rangers, 4-1, on Wednesday afternoon for their season's second victory. A.J. Fasano's 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 (7-3) first-singles win over John Sheldon highlighted Hopatcong's hot day.

Cory Tuttle dropped Conor Brennen, 6-2, 6-2, in second singles for the Chiefs as Josh Merles edged Blaze Dorney, 7-6 (8-6), 6-2, in the victory.

Full doubles results were not immediately available.

It was Hopatcong's second win over the Rangers. Earlier in the year, the Chiefs dropped WV, 3-2, at home.
