The End of an Era?
If Hopatcong loses tonight, it will be a long time until the Chiefs see another Tobin.

Hopatcong guard Matt Tobin could play his final game as a Chief tonight. And unlike when Mike and Meghan were scoring for Hopatcong, there aren't any more Tobins on the way. Read more about it in 5 Things You Need to Know Today:
- You Need to Know This Meeting Was Moved: Hopatcong's mayor and council meeting was postponed to next Tuesday due to scheduling conflicts. Expect a discussion of the upcoming budget at the next meeting.
- You Need to Know About This Club: Hopatcong's Women's Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. at the lower level. Its general meeting will be on March 23. For more information, call (973) 398-1267 or (973) 398-5021.
- You Need to Know About Baseball! Yes, that deserved a rare exclamation point. Hopatcong's LIttle League will host signups at 7 p.m. in the Hopatcong Senior Citizens Center.
- You Need to Know About Beef: Corned beef, that is. Center will hold its annual St. Patrick's Day-themed corned beef dinner. Food will be served from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There will be step dancers and a bag piper. Cost: $25 per ticket. For more information, call (973) 398-6377.
- You Need to Know About Books … and Beyond: will host its Books and Beyond gold medal ceremonies for second grade on Wednesday and third grade on Thursday. Both events are at 7:30 p.m. "Pickin' out a book …"
- Bonus: You Need to Know About the Playoffs: Hopatcong's boys basketball team heads to Elmwood Park at 7 p.m. for the second round of the North 1, Group 1 playoffs. Last year, Pequannock knocked the Chiefs out of the playoffs, despite Hopatcong's No. 1 seed.
