VIDEO: Hopatcong's LoPorto, 14, Helps First Lady Spread Message

Carmen LoPorto recently added another role to his acting career—public service announcement star.

LoPorto, 14, starred in a commercial for First Lady Michelle Obama's nationwide "Let's Move" campaign, aimed at eliminating childhood obesity. The Hopatcong resident shot the PSA in Montclair a few months ago after acing an audition.

"It was pretty cool," LoPorto said. "It was pretty much just about being active. I don't always sit around, watching TV and stuff like that. I play a whole bunch of sports."

In the commercial, LoPorto plays a kid enjoying video games until his mother shuts off the electricity, forcing LoPorto and his friends outside for a game of pickup basketball.
