About 600 people braved the wind and cold Thursday for the Hopatcong Hawks youth soccer Opening Day ceremonies at Veterans Field. Mayor Sylvia Petillo kicked things off with a speech before really kicking things off. She tried to score a goal against recreation commission member Sal Guglielmello. This is the sale to go to for a great variety of classic and new transplants and veggie packs. There will be special sections at this for: NJ Heritage Tomatoes (Ramapo, Moreton, Rutgers, Rutgers 250; Seeds from Italy transplants, Container Garden plants and more.
