Hopatcong's Little League began its season in earnest Saturday morning, two weeks after rain canceled its inital Opening Day ceremonies. Mayor Sylvia Petillo threw out the first pitch—a strike—and more than 100 people showed up to celebrate the offical start to America's pastime.
