VIDEO: Why Will You Miss Robert Daddis?

Former planning board chairman died of cancer on May 4.

Department of Public Works Superintendent Ron Jobeless cleared his throat. Then he poured out his heart.

"(Robert Daddis) took his civic duties pretty seriously and he was a good chairman on the board," Jobeless said. "I had a lot of good moments with him out there, running around, looking at the projects. I'm going to miss him. He was going to leave us last year. But we kind of talked him into sticking around with us. I used to joke with him that I was his wingman. He will be sorely missed by the board, and I'm sure many in the borough. He was a good man."

Daddis, a planning board chairman, died of cancer on May 4. He was 68.
