Voter Registration For Primaries is Tuesday

Elections office will hold extended hours

Sussex County voters have until Tuesday, May 17 to register to vote in the June primary election.

The Sussex County Clerk's Office said a U. S. citizen who is 18 years of age on or before June 7, the date of the primary election, may register to vote, as long as he or she is not incarcerated, on parole or on probation because of a conviction for an indictable offense. To register to vote in Sussex County, the Clerk's Office said, a person must have resided in the county 30 days before the election.

An individual may register to vote by completing a registration application form, which is available at the Sussex County Clerk's Office, by mail or by downloading a form from the county's website, sussexcountyclerk.com. Forms are also available at any municipal clerk's office.
