Cablevision salesmen will be in Hopatcong through April from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The borough said on its website the representatives will have vendor permits and employee identification.

"Cablevision always works in cooperation with municipalities, obtaining the required permit before going door to door and Cablevision's employees go through an extensive background check," a company spokesperson said. "A resident can identify Cablevision employees by the official photo ID they wear around their necks."
