St. Patrick's Day: Where to Get Green Beer in Hopatcong

Most holidays have their hallmarks. Easter? Chocolate. Christmas? Egg nog. National Ice Cream Day? Uhh ...

The same is true for St. Patrick's Day. In fact, it's got several, from corned beef to cabbage to potatoes and, of course, green beer.

With all that in mind, Hopatcong Patch asked borough St. Patty's Day hot spots what they're doing for the occasion. Here's what they said. By the way, you can get green beer at each of these places.

Why Go: Doug the Soundman will play from 6 to 10 p.m., followed by The Wrecks until close. But that's not all. There will be drink specials and a free corned beef and Irish soda bread buffet starting at 6 p.m. Don't forget about the full Irish menu that will be available until 5 p.m.

Why Go: The Lakeside Boulevard restaurant is going all out. A bag piper will be on hand starting at 5 p.m. You can get green beer all night and drink specials at the bar. And, in addition to the Irish specialties, you'll also be able to grab anything off the regular menu.

Why Go: These Italians know how to get Irish. The party will kick off in earnest when Groove Entertainment hits the stage around 9:30 p.m. But there will be giveaways—such as T-shirts and beads—drink specials and don't forget to try the sheppard's pie.
