Which Hopatcong Field Most Needs Fixing?
The recreation commission and a Department of Public Works employee walked the fields in November. Here are the fixes they put on their wish list.

Members of Hopatcong's recreation commission and a employee surveyed the borough's fields in November, identifying problem areas, such as a metal rod sticking out of the concrete at Jefferson Field and the fading paint on the Squire Field uprights.
After the walk, the recreation commission cobbled together a "wish list" of fixes.

- Fix entrance to field near parking lot
- Fix bottom of fence, add rail.
- Remove or cover plastic on gym.
- Fix large hole in fence going to play ground.
- Add a volleyball court next to basketball court.
- Replace basketball back boards.
- Remove shrubs on southern field's fence
- Add a railroad tie to lower backstop and fix lower post
- Repair backstop
- Repair dugout: stop the washout that puts stones and gravel on field
- Repair roadside fence and add chain with a lock.
Squire Field
- Fix concrete on bottom of goal posts.
- Paint goal posts.
- Place lock on fence from parking lot.
- Replace board missing from wooden fence in parking lot.

- Repair lights on wooden pole.
- Parking lot—pave / add milling.
- Hide / bury pipe near opening, add stone to area.
