Wish There Was a Primary Race?

Or did you mind that it was uncontested?

There were no surprises in Hopatcong's primary election on Tuesday. That's what happens when races are uncontested.

Sylvia Petillo while John Young and Estelle Klein got GOP nods for council spots in Tuesday's primary elections. Each was unopposed.

No Democrats filed for the primaries.

But would you have liked to have seen a race in either primary? Or were you content with voting for the unopposed candidates?

Editor's note: Fun fact: 9,569 Hopatcong residents were eligible to vote in the primary, according to the Sussex County Clerk's office. Of that number, 4,425 were unaffiliated; 3,234 were Republican; and 1,910 were Democrat.
