World Trade Center Steel to Arrive in Borough
The beams will bookend and highlight the borough's monument to the thousands lost in the attacks.

The 9/11 steel that will bookend and highlight Hopatcong's monument to the thousands lost in the attacks will arrive in the borough next week, Mayor Sylvia Petillo said.
Petillo said Hopatcong officials will pick up the twin beams—incidentially 9 feet and 11 feet tall, respectively—from the Port Authority's Hangar 17 at the John F. Kennedy Airport and deliever them to borough all at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
"There was quite a bit of work to obtain these two artifacts," Petillo said in an email.
