When Will Snow End In Jersey City, And What's The Accumulation?

NJ Transit buses were suspended all day Saturday.

When will the snow end on Saturday? A revised forecast says the storm could dump 5-11 inches of snow on Hudson County through 2 p.m.

Meanwhile, NJ Transit said, "NJ TRANSIT will temporarily suspend all bus, River LINE and Access Link services at the start of the service day on Saturday, Jan. 29. Service is anticipated to resume later in the day as soon as it is safe to do so. Train service, Newark Light Rail and Hudson-Bergen Light Rail on Saturday will remain on regular weekend schedules" with possible delays.

The areas "down the shore" are now under a blizzard warning.

According to the National Weather Service forecast for Hudson County:

  • 5-11 inches of snow may fall from 8 p.m. Friday night to 2 p.m. Saturday.
  • There could be strong wind gusts.
  • Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 28.

Secure Loose Objects

Residents should secure all loose objects outside or bring them inside, especially on balconies.

Outdoor tents should be taken down depending on the wind load.

Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines, resulting in power outages.
