Update In Case Of Missing Jersey City Heights Man With Autism (patch.com) — Jersey City Heights residents who were worried about a missing neighbor with autism and diabetes can breathe easier, as police say he was safely located in Yonkers later the same day. City officials thanked Yonkers, Port Authority, and NJ Transit police for their quick coordination, and shared contact information for the JCPD Missing Persons Unit for anyone with tips on other cases.
   

2. 2 Jersey City Teens Named National Merit Semifinalists (patch.com) — Jersey City families can celebrate as two local high school students, from McNair Academic and St. Peter's Prep, have been named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists. They are among just five Hudson County students and 16,000 nationwide now in the running for prestigious college scholarship awards to be decided next spring.
   

3. Jersey City Council reviews plan to use $1.2M in CDBG funds for Ward C 'pocket park' (hudsoncountyview.com) — Jersey City officials are weighing a $1.2 million plan, mostly using federal Community Development Block Grant funds, to buy 128 Glenwood Ave. in Ward C for a small "pocket park" and community garden. Council members debated whether this money should instead support long-sought recreation or library projects, and will vote at their regular meeting Thursday evening at City Hall and on Microsoft Teams.
   

4. Jersey City releases anticipated rent control audit, hires new housing preservation dir. (hudsoncountyview.com) — Jersey City has launched a public online map showing more than 1,700 rent-controlled properties, giving local renters a new way to check if their building is protected. Alongside hiring a new housing preservation director, the city is expanding its rent control audit, issuing summonses to noncompliant landlords, and inviting tenants to report suspected omissions or illegal rent hikes.
   

5. Jersey City to Mark 25th Anniversary of 9-11 Attacks (tapinto.net) — Jersey City will hold its annual 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony at the waterfront memorial, honoring local residents lost and the first responders who helped that day. Mayor James Solomon, faith leaders, and community members will gather for moments of silence, name readings, and tributes to ensure the attacks' impact on Jersey City is never forgotten.
