Stolen Lamborghini Found In Hudson County After Theft From Essex County

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — In a growing trend, thieves broke into a home in Essex County, stole the key fobs from inside, and made off with the car last Wednesday. It was found in Hudson County later the same morning, police said.

A Livingston homeowner told police early last Wednesday that someone broke into a home, took four key fobs, and then stole the Lamborghini from outside.

Police said that on April 5, at 2:20 a.m., officers responded to the home on a report of a burglary alarm.

The homeowner said that someone had smashed the rear sliding doors and taken four fobs and a wallet. The homeowner later told police that someone had taken a Lamborghini from the driveway.

The Lamborghini was recovered in Bayonne later the same morning, police said.

Police said they believe the same thief or thieves tried to break into another residence in Livingston at 2:24 a.m., but were unsuccessful.
