‘Suspicious’ Bag Declared Safe In Jersey City: Police
A "suspicious" duffel bag found on Montgomery Street turned out to be just clothes and an air mattress, Jersey City authorities said.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A “suspicious” duffel bag found on Montgomery Street on Friday morning turned out to be just clothes and an air mattress, Jersey City authorities said.
According to a city spokesperson, Jersey City police responded to a report of a “suspicious package” on the 200-block of Montgomery Street around 8:15 a.m.
After further investigation, the item – an unattended duffel bag – was deemed safe by police. Inside were clothes and an air mattress, authorities said.
