Teen Charged With Murder In Shooting Death Of 15-Year-Old Boy In Jersey City

A 17-year-old was charged with murder and other crimes in the shooting death of a Jersey City boy last month.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A 17-year-old has been charged with murder in connection with the death of Devin Bryant, 15, who was fatally shot on Myrtle Avenue in Jersey City the night of Saturday, Feb. 12, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said.

The teen was arrested on Suthpin Boulevard in Jamaica, Queens, on Wednesday by members of the United States Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors did not release any other identifying information about the arrested teen because he's a juvenile.

He was charged Wednesday with murder, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

He's currently in custody in New York pending extradition and his first court appearance.
