LACEY, NJ — An Ocean Gate man has been charged with robbing two banks: one in Lacey and one in Toms River, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office announced Friday. Robert Fitzpatrick, Jr., of Ocean Gate, robbed Toms River's Bank of America (April 25) and Lanoka Harbor's Kearny Bank (May 29), the OCPO said.
Officials executed a search warrant on Fitzpatrick's home Thursday and took him into custody, the OCPO said. He covered his face with a bandana in both robberies, according to officials. Surveillance from Bank of America shows Fitzpatrick's body and face covered in clothing.
