1. Tuna From NJ Company Recalled Over Toxic Bacteria, FDA Says (patch.com) — Lakewood residents should be aware that tuna packaged by local company Buckhead Meat Company, also known as Trinity Seafood, has been recalled after state testing found high levels of scombrotoxin. The affected tuna, distributed to several Northeast states, can cause rapid-onset scombroid food poisoning with allergy-like symptoms, though illness is usually short-lived. Diners and restaurants in and around Lakewood are urged to check lot codes and avoid serving the recalled fish.
   

2. Shots fired at drivers in Lakewood Monday night, stolen sedan involved (wchram.com) — Police are investigating reports that someone in a stolen white sedan fired at a driver on Sunset Road in Lakewood late Monday night, with a similar incident shortly afterward in nearby Howell. Authorities say four masked individuals were in the vehicle and are asking anyone with information about the Lakewood shooting to call 732-363-0200.
   

3. Lakewood Residents: Identify Your Water Lines for Lead Replacement Program (wrat.com) — Workers for New Jersey American Water are in Lakewood neighborhoods this week checking home service lines for lead and galvanized pipes, and residents can also request a free 15‑minute inspection. Crews are focusing on census tracts near Central Avenue and Hope Chapel Road, will carry clear identification, and will never ask for personal or financial information while helping the township meet a 2031 replacement deadline.
   

4. Lakewood field hockey edges out Henry Hudson-Keansburg co-op in OT for first victory (nj.com subscription) — Lakewood High School's field hockey team earned its first win of the season with a 2–1 overtime victory against the Henry Hudson–Keansburg co-op. Lakewood controlled play with 18 penalty corners, got goals from Melanie Castillo and Heba Nakhil, and split strong goaltending between Kai Moro and Genai Crudup to close out the home stretch.
