Lawrence Students Among Essay/Picture Contest Winners
Maureen Mutinsky and her 6th-grade language class at Lawrence Intermediate School received special recognition for their outstanding submissions.

A pair of Lawrence Intermediate School students were among those recognized by the Zonta Club of Trenton/Mercer and the Mercer County Commission on the Status of Women as winners of its recent picture/essay contest.
Brianna Seals and Mira Ryu, both sixth-graders, were among those honored with a certificate and a Barnes and Noble gift card in a ceremony at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System.
The International Day of the Family Picture/Essay contest, “What My Family Means to Me,” was held for students in grades K-8 in the county. The pictures and essays highlighted the important role family plays in the lives of the children.
Other winners included: Samaree Roberts, Grade K, Wilson Elementary School, Hamilton; Elisa Soliz, Grade 1, Robbins Elementary School, Trenton; Jessica Quituizaca, Grade 1, Wilson Elementary School, Hamilton; Alani Diaz, Grade 2, Franklin Elementary School, Trenton; Tae Mae, Grade 3, Wilson Elementary School, Hamilton; Josephine Abraham, Grade 3, Trenton Catholic Academy; Nia Reed, Grade 4, Trenton Catholic Academy; Darriel Knox, Grade 5, Franklin Elementary School, Trenton; Ashanti Ross, Grade 6, Trenton Catholic Academy; and Morgan Rhodes, Grade 7, Trenton Catholic Academy.
