Rider University Receives Grant to Help Those in Need
The University will receive a $292,340 TRIO Super Student Services grant to provide services for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Rider University will receive a $292,340 U.S. Department of Education TRIO Super Student Services (SSS) grant to provide essential services for students from disadvantaged backgrounds, U.S. Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker said on Wednesday.
It's part of a total of $3,606,996 in grants being set aside for colleges and universities in New Jersey for that cause.
"These programs give disadvantaged students access to critical services they need to succeed in school and in life," Menendez said. "Investing in our youth through education is money well-spent and will lead to long-term economic growth and stability for the nation."
"A college education opens doors of opportunity for our youth, and the funding announced today will help more New Jersey students achieve their college dreams," Booker said. "Keeping higher education affordable, attainable, and within reach for students of all backgrounds—and ensuring students graduate—will help grow our economy and make New Jersey stronger."
The following New Jersey institutions received grant awards:
· Rutgers University – New Brunswick $513,812
· Rutgers University – Newark $231,103
· Rutgers University – Camden $220,000
