2 People Break Into Livingston Home And Steal Xbox: Police
A Livingston man who was away from his home saw two thieves breaking in via his external cameras, police said. See other reports here.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Livingston police released information from reports they took last week, including a home break-in that resulted in a missing Xbox video game console. Here are the reports:
Grand Theft Xbox
Police said that last Thursday, a resident of Manor Road who was away from home saw two people breaking in, via his exterior house cameras. The Livingston police went to the house around 4:05 a.m. The suspects were gone, but it appeared that they had gotten inside through an unlocked window. An Xbox was stolen, police said.

An Xbox with accessories can run from around $250-$550. The Detective Bureau is investigating.
Shoplifter At ShopRite

On Tuesday, March 21, at 11:17 a.m., Livingston officers responded to the ShopRite located at 483 South Livingston Ave. on a report of a shoplifter in custody. Loss prevention officials had a Levittown woman, 48, in custody. They said she left the store without paying for $300 in groceries. She was taken to police headquarters where she was charged with shoplifting on a summons, and released.
Another Catalytic Converter Cut From An Accord
This past Sunday, Livingston officers responded to a Spring Road residence on a report of a catalytic converter theft from a vehicle. The victim said the auto part was cut out of his 2006 Honda Accord while parked in his driveway.
Back in October, four catalytic converters were cut out of Honda Accords in Livingston in one weekend.
Catalytic converter thefts are on the rise because of the precious metals used to make the part. Experts say that thieves find Honda Accords an easy target for the thefts. Read more about the trend locally here.
