LIVINGSTON, NJ — Are you interested in learning the future of what’s shaping up to be one of the coolest “art parks” in North Jersey?

On Tuesday, Oct. 9, Essex County officials will host a public meeting to discuss the “refurbishing” of Riker Hill Ark Park in Livingston. The meeting is slated for 7 p.m. at Town Hall, 357 S. Livingston Avenue.

In January, county officials announced that they were mulling a facelift at the 42-acre converted U.S. Army Nike Missile Base, which now offers studio space for dozens of artists in residence. Those artists in turn get the chance to focus on their creative muses, including painting, fine metal jewelry, ceramics, pottery, glass-blowing, fine prints, photography and sculpture.
