Young Livingston Chess Fans Raise Funds For Coronavirus Relief
Ajay, 8, and Priya, 7, told their parents they wanted to support hospital workers on the frontline of the COVID-19 fight.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston residents Sheila and Hari Nadiminti are doctors. So when their children came to them with an idea about how they could help the hospital workers during the coronavirus crisis, it hit close to their hearts.
Recently, Sheila reached out to Patch to commend her kids, Ajay, 8, and Priya, 7, who are helping to spearhead an online chess tournament fundraiser on Sunday, April 19.
The virtual fundraiser, which will benefit The Summit Medical Group Foundation, takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Instead of a regular tournament registration fee, Livingston Scholastic Chess Tournaments and Do-Re-Mi School are asking people to donate $20 or more to Summit Medical Group Foundation towards buying protective supplies for healthcare workers fighting with COVID-19.
