Young Livingston Ice Skaters Show Off Their Skills At Championship Event

A group of talented youth from Livingston turned in an incredible performance at the National Synchronized Skating Championships.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — A group of talented youth from Livingston recently turned in an incredible performance at the National Synchronized Skating Championships in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The skaters – Chloe Ren (8th grade), Emily Tai (8th grade), Ivy Yang (7th grade) and Chelsea Li (6th grade) – represented Team Image at the event, which took place on March 6.

The four skaters secured a 4th-place pewter medal, marking their first-ever appearance on the national podium. Earlier this year, they won the Eastern Champion title in Boston.

Synchronized skating, or “synchro,” is a high-speed discipline where eight to 20 skaters perform as a single unit, executing complex formations like wheels and intersections with perfect timing. The sport is preparing to debut as a Junior Olympic event in 2028.
