Aging Long Branch bridge carrying 23,000 vehicles a day closes until spring 2027 (news12.com) — Drivers in Long Branch face a long-term closure of the Route 36 bridge over Troutmans Creek between Florence Avenue and Liberty Street, with detours in place until about Memorial Day 2027. The $7.9 million replacement project, timed for the off-season, reroutes northbound and southbound traffic via Atlantic, Liberty, Branchport and Joline to keep vehicles moving.

Glieden, Francis each score twice to power Brick Memorial girls soccer by Long Branch (nj.com subscription) — Long Branch High School's girls soccer team fell 4-2 on the road at Brick Memorial on Monday, despite goals from Layla Bland and Adriana Ramirez. The Green Wave led 1-0 at halftime before conceding four second-half goals, with assists from Emely Flores Hernandez and Sofia Buritica Cifuentes and four saves by goalie Jaylenn Diaz Nestor.

Jordan and O'Neill Receive National Awards (thelinknews.net) — A security leader from Long Branch Public Schools, Walter O'Neill Jr., has received a national award recognizing his work in school safety alongside Asbury Park's Louis Jordan. At a gala hosted by the International Stop The Violence Alliance, both were honored for years of protecting students, building countywide security partnerships, and promoting nonviolence and acceptance in New Jersey schools.
