She has a long recovery ahead of her. Reynolds's injuries include cranial issues, a collapsed lung and broken limbs, jaw and nose.
Her family started the GoFundMe for her medical care that has raised nearly $50,000 as of Friday morning.
"For those of you that have never had the opportunity to meet Ceilie yet, know that she would make you feel the first time you met her that you were already friends," the GoFundMe says. "She is a lot like her Grandpa Frank- whom we always said: 'Had never met a stranger.' "
She was airlifted from the crash to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Then she was flown to Pennsylvania Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia. She has received several surgeries on her brain, sinus cavity, jaw and nose. Medical professionals must rebuild her face and put the top of her skull back on, among other procedures.
The family doesn't know yet how much they'll have to pay out of pocket, but they know it will be exorbitant.
Reynolds continues to make progress. She can squeeze visitors' fingers and move her toes.
Every bit of progress gives family and friends hope – and they want to show the same passion Ceilie has shown for others.
According to 94.3 the Point, Ceilie helped organize and volunteer at Mission Africa, Beauty Foundation, Team Fighting Irish and she has helped assemble baskets every year for Thanksgiving to deliver to those who are worse off.
