1,500 Without Power In Chester, Long Valley
The damage from Thursday's storm is expected to be repaired by 6:30 p.m., officials said.
A spring storm robbed about 1,500 customers of power Thursday afternoon, according to JCP&L.
Washington Township was the hardest hit, registering 727 outages or ten percent of the total customer base. Chester Township had 743 out, which is 24 percent of their customers. Chester Borough has 140 out, which accounts for 12 percent of their customers.
Mendham Township had no outages reported and Mendham Borough less than five.

Officials estimate that power will be restored by 6:30 p.m.
