$1,900 of iPod Equipment Stolen from Wal-Mart by Washington Twp. Man, Cops Say
Shane Corrigan was arrested during motor vehicle stop, jailed in lieu of $20,000, police report.

A Washington Township man accused of stealing electronics from a Sussex County Wal-Mart was arrested and lodged in jail in lieu of $20,000 bail, Hackettstown Police said.
Hackettstown Police stopped Shane Corrigan, 25, for a motor vehicle violation on Aug. 13, Sgt. Darren Tynan said. During the stop, patrol officers found a criminal warrant out of Franklin Borough in Sussex County for Corrigan’s arrest in the amount of $20,000.
According to nj.com, Corrigan allegedly broke into a locked display cabinet at the Franklin Wal-Mart to steal electronic equipment. Corrigan then returned to the store to take more at a later time, the report said.

While Corrigan has a Hackettstown mailing address, he resides in Washington Township, Tynan confirmed.
He’s accused of stealing approximately $1,900 worth of Apple iPod merchandise during the two incidents, the report said.

Corrigan was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and possession of heroin in April 2012 in Mt. Olive, according to the Independent Press. In February 2013, Corrigan was placed into a special drug program to avoid jail time after being arrested for possession of marijuana, according to newjerseyhills.com.
