2 Arrested On Outstanding Warrants In Long Valley

Both were released with pending court dates.

LONG VALLEY, NJ— Two Pennsylvania men were arrested for outstanding warrants during a Long Valley traffic stop, police said.

Christopher Renner, 31, and Michael Renner, 28, both of Allentown, were pulled over for a routine traffic stop on Jan. 3. Both had active warrants for their arrests.

Christopher Renner was driving with a suspended license, according to police, and was wanted on a traffic warrant in Phillipsburg for $239. He posted bail at the scene, and was issued a complaint for driving while suspended.

Michael Renner was being issued a citation for not wearing a seatbelt during the traffic stop when police say he provided a fake name. Once they had his real name, police arrested him for an active warrant, and charged him with hindering apprehension and failure to wear a seatbelt.

Police did not say where Michael Renner's warrant stemmed from. He was released pending an appeared in Washington Township Municipal Court.
